Welcome!

Hi I am Kathy Gunther, a song writer. Please be patient
while this site is under construction. TY, K.G.

Here is lyrics to a song I wrote called "When Angels Cry"

When Angels Cry
I followed directions, right from the start
As you handed me your lines.
I held back the tears
Until they had to fall.
Then I just watched you walk right out that door.
You know I'm not that strong, and I don't wanna cry
Any more.
Now I feel every beat of my heart
I knew I would lose you right from the start.
But I came to realize there's a power in disguise.
In my life.
chorous
When Love dies, Is that when the Angels cry?
When Love dies, is that when Angels cry?
verse
When you closed that door, I closed one too.
But theres still a window, here waiting for you.
If you say your sorry, I will forgive you yes I will.
But theres one thing you know I just won't do
I can love you my whole life through
But I don't wanna cry anymore
Yes theres a power in disguise
When  Angels cry?

People shouting at the world over megaphones; Size=240 pixels wide

What's New?
The song began on a ride back from Richmond. I had been invited to go there by a female lead singer of the band that played there that night. She came to my table and said she had to work the room, and rushed away.   I stayed the whole night and I approached her about writing songs for her band after they were done playing. She didn't seem interested in me but the drummer ( her husband) told me to send my lyrics to them in the mail.   Well, on the way home I was feeling dejected by the female singer who had invited me there. Writing songs was the furthest thing from my mind, when three words came to my mind ... When Angels Cry. And I knew it was a title for a song.   I never threw it out of mind and used it later when the time was right.   I was on a mission to see it through and stuck with this one and only song among many to promote.   I thank Cliff Ayers of Emerald Records for having faith in me and the song. He nominated me time and again for awards associated with the song. I received awards in person from him as the writer, in Fort Lauderdale and Nashville. I also want to thank Jodi Murphy for singing this song. She did a perfect job and should have her name listed as the singing artist. I have been promoted for this song but I feel Jody should be listed as well. I thank Roland Bowman for believing in me and all his efforts for starting my web site on Google and now being listed on soundclick.Thank You Kathy Wedvek, for getting me on your achy breaky heart station.

Here I might add an entry whenever I make an update to my web site. Where appropriate, I'll include a link to the change. For example:
